Humanitarians in the Arts
We celebrate the transforming beauty of art and music from around the world. As intrinsic components of most ethnic, social and religious traditions, art and music hold infinite potential to change hearts and foster understanding.
What We Do
HIA offers intercultural festivals, concerts and collaborations to showcase and celebrate our rich and diverse heritage. We also support and/or administer projects aligned with advancing cultural harmony.
Our History
Our activities with experienced servant leaders dedicated to fostering collaborations that shine a bright light on all that is possible when people from diverse backgrounds work in harmony! Recognizing that intercultural outreach is imperative in today's changing world landscape, our events offer unique and welcoming environments, as we share art, music and advocacy.
Since 1993
Get Involved!
The majority of HIA events (a 501c3) are funded because of the generous support of donors.
Whether staging composer Rudy Davenport’s Byna: Life Songs of a Southern Appalachian Woman of Cherokee Descent, bringing the Middle Eastern ensemble Ask-i-Mesk to ABGB, providing local artists for a rally at the Texas Capitol; or surrounding a physically challenged artist with the resources necessary to share his music at Mozart’s, we have been quietly engaging people from various life circumstances for years, offering events that change hearts!
By making a tax-deductible gift, you will help create new opportunities for Austin based artists.
